Kaiken Ultra Malbec Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza 2009
rich, reasonably full, and fruity.
Another good malbec in the $10 range. If you prefer dark and earthy over fruity wines, than this is the bottle for you! For pictures and my full review click the link below! http://malbeceamos.com/2011/08/06/kaiken-2009-malbec/

This has a solid core of raspberry and macerated cherry fruit, laced with a bright floral hint and a lively mineral note that helps extend the finish. Very tasty.
Good loam and cocoa notes, with mineral, sanguine, currant preserve and pepper flavors. Smoky finish has a nice tug of earth, but also plenty of fruit. Drink now through 2007.
A big and mauling version of Malbec. The nose is minty and dark, while the palate runs syrupy and full, with heavy black-fruit flavors darkened even more by a persistent peppery streak.
Handsome ruby red color. Outstanding and concentrated fruit, with beautiful aromas of red berries, black cherry and hints of tobaccos. A full-bodied wine. Round and velvety in mid-palate, with soft tannins. An added touch of vanilla and toast, followed by a long and smooth finish. Very, very elegant.
Winemaker Notes - Of a deep violet color, warm in the nose, with notes of ripe fruit and traces of tobacco and butterscotch. In the mouth it displays intensity, with strong, fleshy tannins; while at the same time juicy and enveloping; with a long, persistent finish. A harmonious liaison with the wood, makes of this wine a fine example of the Mendoza terroir.
Very fresh and pure, with lovely violet, shaved vanilla and dark raspberry notes gliding over fine-grained tannins. The long, suave finish has a nice pastis hint. Drink now.
The 2006 Malbec contains 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and received the same elevage as the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby-colored, it exhibits an alluring perfume of spice box, violets, and black cherry. This leads to a medium-bodied wine with layers of ripe, spicy, black cherry fruit, surprising depth and concentration for its humble price, and a fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. Both of these wines are excellent values.
