Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2007

External Review by Fame Wine and Tobacco:

This wine has an intense ruby red color with violet hues. Of great complexity on the nose showing notes of cherry and fresh red fruits Its oak ageing provides elegant aromas, blending vanilla and coffee notes with the natural spiciness of the Cabernet Sauvignon. On the mouthfeel its a powerful wine, of subtle tannins product of unrivalled climatic conditions of Mendoza and an appropriate maturity level at harvest time. The wine has a long finish, its great fruit where its concentration mixes well with the sweet notes provided by its oak ageing.

We went through all the best grape producing estates, finally deciding for the exceptional quality of that in the First Zone (Maipú, Cruz de Piedra, Ugarteche, Agrelo) as well as from Valle de Uco. Along with a hard selection of the best producers, we meticulously supervise each step and work in the vineyard from start to finish of each growing season, observing well each little detail. This, to attain the full potential from the best grapes. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
