User Reviews for K Vintners Syrah the Deal Sundance Vnyd Wahluke Slope

Winemaker's Notes:

100% Sundance Vineyard Syrah. Sundance is one of the oldest vineyards on the Wahluke Slope, planted in 1997. The site is topsoil over gravel, sand and broken down basalt with more caliche than other sites in the Wahluke. The vineyard, because of its aspect, is also a later ripening site allowing for great concentration. Cool climate syrah, fresh and inviting. Violets, chacuterie, dark plum and crushed stone....the 'Real Deal.' Alcohol 13.5%. 210 cases produced. Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 93 points by Wine Spectator: Focused, generous and complex, offering a chewy mouthful of cherry, tobacco, black olive and wet rock flavors that don't quit on the finish. Balanced against lively acidity, the flavors just take off. Best from 2013 through 2019. 360 cases made.
