Food Pairings for K Vintners Grenache Blend Walla Walla Valley the Boy
Lightly cooked strawberry is accented with sandalwood, coffee, peat, and white pepper, and wreathed with a remarkable wealth of distilled-strength floral and herbal high-tones. (?Yeah, I love Henri Bonneau,? says Smith as I remark on that aspect of his latest Boy.) This manages to offer considerable textural allure for a wine of its cepage; what?s more, there is a terrific sense of energy and sheer refreshment as well as buoyancy (but then, there?s only 13.8% alcohol ? practically lightweight for Grenache) leading to a long, luscious, infectiously juicy, dynamically interactive finish.
