Justin Vineyards & Winery Red Bordeaux Blend Paso Robles Isosceles 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Opaque, dense purple-black color, indicating extraordinarily high extract and viscosity. The palate reveals an immensely flavored wine, repeating the black fruit intensity and powerful tannins typical of this brilliant vintage. The finish is stately, regal, long. This gorgeous Isosceles is the most cellar-worthy since the legendary 1997.

The property was founded in 1981 by Justin and Deborah Baldwin when they planted their 160 acre property to the major Bordeaux varietals and created their Estate vineyard. The winery is located in the Paso Robles appellation of California’s Central Coast. The region’s first grapes were planted in 1779 by Franciscan missionaries and today are home to the third highest concentration of wineries in the United States. Their desire is to make world class wines that reflect the unique soils and climate of their California Central Coast property. Our 2007 ISOSCELES offers an opaque, dense purple-black core with barely perceptible color change to the rim, indicating extraordinarily high extract and viscosity. The nose is variable over a several minute review: black and blue fruit, firm but inviting oak notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a sense of just-roasted dark-roast coffee beans. Later, a note of dark cocoa; a dash of black pepper; a drop of vanilla. The palate reveals an immensely flavored wine, repeating the black fruit intensity and powerful tannins typical of this brilliant vintage. The finish is stately, regal, long. This gorgeous ISOSCELES is the most cellar-worthy since the legendary 1997. Hooray! - Winery ** Only 5 in Stock **
