Smooth and silky yet spicy too. The fruit seems a bit complex making it hard to peg what fruit flavors are coming out. It's almost as if it is a blend of many different things rolled into one.It reminds us of a dark cherry pie we had recently that was really rich and not sweet.

The 2007 Justin Paso Robles Cabernet is dark red with a violet hue. The nose is complex, offering aromas of cherry, allspice, cinnamon, leather and a touch of forest floor. The palate is soft upon entry, yielding a multitude of red and black fruit flavors that are accented by vanilla, caramel and a hint of butterscotch from the new American oak. This young Cabernet Sauvignon is approachable immediately.

Jammy red jelly babies, cherry cola plus cinnamon. Hark back to childhood Saturdays. Imagine one piece of toast with raspberry jam and another with cinnamon sugar. Bite from each, jump to now, and realize wine and cartoons do go together.

Dark purple with a surrounding outline of cherry red. Aromas of black cherry, currant and vanilla jump out of the glass. A soft, delicate entry is woven into a long, intense palate that features flavors of blueberry, cassis and a touch of spice. Supple, ripe tannins with a hint of chocolate hover on the finish.

Supple and complex, well-focused and balanced, with a pretty core of black cherry, ripe plum and currant tones, showing off ample oak and ripe tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2007.

This primary wine of our production offers a merge of red and black fruits, delicate spiciness, and deep brooding opaque color. A meaty entry gives way to a generous back palate of supple but not shy tannins, a graceful flow across the palate, and a fine, debonaire finish.

Restrained, crouching monster. An almost opaque ruby red; unfiltered, hand harvested with a whopping 15% alcohol that you would never know is there (unless you finish the bottle), this Cabernet needs breathing time. After a few minutes in the glass, ripe black cherry, black currant and tobacco aromas begin to unfurl. The body is densely packed with dark berry fruits and dusty tannins. Amazingly balanced, the wine never comes across as hot. The finish is long and chewy - an endurance champion. Rumor has it that this single barrel bottling, especially set aside for the Premier Group, is the same Cab destined for Justin's Reserve label.

The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is a reasonably good value. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by a lovely nose of plums, raisins, black currants, and spicy oak. Fleshy, with attractive purity, richness, and density, this complex, high quality Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well for 5-10 years.
