Editorial Reviews for Justin Syrah Paso Robles
This wine is on the soft side with deep wild raspberry and blackberry tones that are framed with a note of moist earth and oak driven vanilla and spice tones. Definitely a bigger, richer style yet one that remains soft and supple if lacking much of the spice and meatiness of the grape. 87pts
Nose of graphite laced blackberry and boysenberry with cracked black pepper, sweet vanilla, herbs and smoke. Flavors of blackberry and cherry with dried herbs and smoked meat. Nice hints of pepper and minerality. Nice complexity and well layered. Tasty wine. 88 pts. 9/1/12 at winery
I wish I had purchased more bottles when I found at Costco, It is a great wine!

Nice, but more spicy than inky, and I like inky Syrahs.
Nice Syrah at the price point. Rich with some nice spicy fruit on the front.

The 2010 JUSTIN Syrah is bold expression of this classic Rhone grape variety balanced by an elegant structure that you would expect in a fine Bordeaux. This wine is a real crowd pleaser that is great as a versatile pairing wine or on its own.
This grape is beginning to outshine all our other varietal reds because of its sheer deliciousness. Its color is dense, its perfume exotically floral and peppercorn-spicy, and its midpalate and finish stellar in containing all the most intense fruit Paso Robles can deliver. Framed well by mostly French barrels, our Syrah delivers great intensity and fine value.
Opaque core, with a deep crimson rim. Clove and dark fruit on the nose. The palate offers flavors of chocolate mocha and ripe black fruits of boysenberry and spicy plum, with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and mineral, which delicately coat the sides of... Eddie Wolowski.
