Food Pairings for Juicy Rebound Mourvedre Contra Costa County Evangelho Vineyard
From vines that are 120+ years old, growing in delta sand on their own roots. The 2010 vintage produced a remarkably rich and deeply-colored Mourvedre with great balance, texture and length. Although young, the wine's tannins are ripe and fine. Bright red fruits combine with wild blackberries and tobacco to brilliant effect. Its flavors blend naturally with recipes in any season, especially with Mediterranean flavors and cheeses of character. 150 cases were produced from a yield of under 2 tons per acre.
