Jubileo Meritage Mexicano 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Bright, scarlet, glittering ruby-red in color. Aromas of French oak, currants, lime peel, and dried black berry fruit. Mouth filling and pleasant, finishing with dusty, medium-weight tannins. Serve as cocktail wine or with medium seasoned dishes.

From Baja California, Mexico comes this hearty, earthy red blend made of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot from 60 year old vines. Laura Zamora is the most well known female winemaker in Mexico and has come out with this beauty made from old vines - 60 year! Believe it or not, Baja California is the oldest winegrowing region in North America.
