Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Backus Vineyard 1984

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

Lots of mint and currant aromas and flavors, but also a lot of leathery tannin. The tannic framework seems open enough to let the fruit come through, and given its track record it needs maybe 5 years to melt the tannins. Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1984 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard 750ml
