Wine Recommendation: Joseph Filippi 2005 Pride of Cucamonga Cinq Vignobles Winemaker Notes: Blended from our five best wines that best exhibit the finest attributes of the historic Cucamonga Valley. The 2005 release consists of: Alicante Bouschet 35.2% Syrah 31% Cabernet Sauvignon 14.9% Petite Sirah 14.1% Zinfandel 4.8%. Pours with deep color, medium body. Rich with berry fruit, hints of maple, mint an black pepper. Only 375 cases bottled March 2006. Released July 2006. Will cellar well. *Each bottle autographed by brothers Joseph and Gino Filippi. Brothers Joseph “J.P.” and Gino Filippi, who recently celebrated their family’s 83rd anniversary in the wine business, are industry icons in the Southern California AVA of Cucamonga Valley. In fact, Gino Filippi wrote the petition that resulted in Cucamonga Valley becoming an American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1995. Marc Lurton of Chateau Reynier in Bordeaux, Tish Cooper and Dr. Fred S. Nury make up the winemaking team.
