Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

User Reviews for Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée les Petits Monts Premiere Cru

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2008 Petits Monts is exceptional. The bouquet is deep, reserved and nicely cool in its aromatic profile of cassis, dark berries, espresso, woodsmoke, complex minerality and a topnote of Vosne spice. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tightly-knit, with a very tangy core of sweet black fruit, fine-grained tannins, bright acids and excellent length and grip on the very transparent finish. The Drouhins always use a fairly high percentage of stems during fermentation, and the Petits Monts still shows a touch of its youthful stemminess at this point in its evolution. Tuck it away for six or seven years and stand back when opening, as there will a fireworks display going off in the glass!...93" JG 04/10
