Joseph Drouhin Pinot Noir Bourgogne Laforet 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Call this the "house red" of the great and historic Burgundy house of Joseph Drouhin. Loaded with hints of ripe, red fruits like cherry and raspberry. A fine introduction to the wonders of red Burgundy as well as a terrific "every day" red.

A wine full of charm: bright ruby color and a nose rich with aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry). On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with light tannins and great elegance. It is not a wine we recommend to cellar for many years. Drink it when young, up to two or three years. We suggest serving Laforet at 59° F-61° F. Easy to match with food, it will be best with assorted deli meats, poultry, white meat, "au gratin" dishes, roasted meat and soft cheese. - Winery
