Food Pairings for Joseph Drouhin Gamay Moulin-À-Vent
I'm starting to think about my Thanksgiving feast and along with the menu planning I need wines to pair with not only the turkey but the stuffing, cranberries and the mashed potatoes. The Joseph Drouhin Gamay I feel is a perfect Thanksgiving wine. It comes from Moulin-A-Vent Beaujolais but make no mistake it's not a typical your typical cherry juice Beaujolais Nouveau. This has a much more earthy core with yes cherry, cranberry, red fruit flavors but it's got a fuller body and an earthier core that will pair well with just about anything at the table. - Maggie's Staff PickThe color is deep purple and the nose shows intense fruit with spicy, ripe aromas. On the palate, the tannins are perceptible but elegant. The finish is long.
