Extremely enjoyable red Burdundy. A little light on the nose but a good amount of crisp dark berries, some red cherry and excellent acidity.
Earthy with a berry note. Great glass of wine.
Want fragrant? Enjoy the cherry, nut, and cinnamon aromas in this medium-bodied wine—made in Burgundy from Pinot Noir by one of the most reliable négociants(the French term for wine shipper and blender). The flavors of red fruit compote are strong, but the wine itself is dry, with a great, silky mouthfeel and soft tannins.
Nice light, dry, well-balanced. Clean finish. Not alot of character, but well structured. Good value.
I just love this wine. It's so easy to drink. I had bought a case and just finished the last bottle (I had forgotten it). I need to get more.

Here the nose is more dominated by the pungent earth aromas that add nuance to the otherwise pretty red berry fruit and underbrush notes where the earth continues onto the reasonably precise and vibrant flavors that culminate in a slightly edgy finish.` (Burghound 04/08)
'A very pleasant wine. Bright, clear red colour. Aromas are surprising in their intensity and fruit. On the palate, a tender, supple, graceful, round body. Very flavourful in the aftertaste, with a hint of blackberry jam. When the wine gets older, wild blackberry is the dominant aroma. After 3 or 5 years, the wine takes on a distinctive smell of truffle and undergrowth evolving towards notes of venison'.

"The 2011 Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru is bestowed a fragrant and floral, almost Romanee-St-Vivant inspired nose that is very well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight prickle on the entry. The tannins are fine, although it needs to coalesce toward the finish. Good potential, but patience required!..94" WA 08/13
