Winemaker's Notes:

"Bright pale yellow. Knockout soil-inflected nose combines lime blossom, crushed stone, wild herbs and clove. Then suave, spicy and aromatic, offering a rare combination of tactile, palate-saturating texture combined with a feeling of weightlessness. Very pure and perfumed wine that rises impressively on the back end, coating the palate with subtle spices. Connoisseur's wine. I should note that some Burgundy hounds of my acquaintance consider the Clos des Mouches to be the most complex and intriguing of Drouhin's whites on a regular basis...91-94" IWC 09/10 "The 2009 Clos des Mouches Blanc is absolutely stellar this year and is one of the best recent vintages of this wine in memory. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and rock solid at the core, with grand cru weight and nascent complexity, great acidity and stunning length and grip on the stunning finish...94+" JG 11/10
