Peppery blackberry on the nose. Also, cassis, currant and some pretty violet and lavender aromas. Some stony minerality and graphite notes. Some interesting menthol up front on the palate. Nice texture and some real pepper influence over rustic red and black bramble fruit. Plum skin and some boysenberry jam. It's zesty, spicy and herbal with good acid and softer tannin. Dry finish. Smoky infuence. Nice. Would be better with food. 88 pts.
