Joseph Carr Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
We always strive to make balanced, sophisticated, yet approachable Bordeaux style blends with both our Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot offerings. By blending a trilogy of grapes from where they grow best, referred to as "Trois Cépages," acknowledges my dedication to winemaking. These wines reflect the unique terroir of the Napa Valley and are traditionally blended together with Cabernet Franc and, at times, Petit Verdot.

There’s lots of rich, ripe blackberry and cherry jam, dark chocolate and cassis liqueur flavor in this dry, stylish Cabernet. While it’s a little on the direct side, and is not an ager, it’s a fine value, showing real Napa sophistication.
One of my favorite California Cabernets. Lush, smoky and heavy-handed, with black currant and cedar notes. The smooth, velvety mouthfeel makes this delicious on its own, but of course it pairs well with rich meat or mushroom dishes as well. Also check out their second label — Josh Cabernet — for an everyday version!
