Rather low on the nose, with lemon peel and soil base notes supporting a gentle top note of vanilla cream and apricot. This has lovely bright acids and soft creaminess working against each other to keep things tight in the mouth. The oak is noticeable but clean, adding lightly toasty spice notes to the core of apple fruit. The finish shows a bit more oak early on, but the citrus character of the wine powers through on the long finale with a subtle hint of refreshing minerality. 91pts

The bouquet offers delicate aromas of Fuji apple, citrus, nutmeg, honey, and lightly toasted oak. The wine delivers lively and complex flavors of Asian pear, key lime, and Marcona almond. These refined notes offer a seamless expression of rich, bold flavors with a long, elegant finish. This wine will be delicious upon release and will continue to gain honeyed richness with an additional 3 to 5 years of aging. Serve between 55 and 60 degrees to ensure the full flavor development.

Closure: Cork

Notes: After three months of sur-lie aging and batonnage to elevate the mouthfeel, the wine naturally underwent only 36% malolactic fermentation to retain its bright acidity. With a portion resting in stainless steel, the remaining 72% of the wine was aged in 100% French oak (56% new) for 5.5 months before bottling.
