Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Crisp, minerally Chardonnay. Great style, with aromas of honey and apple. Palate is refreshing and lean, with great balance and acidity, fresh green apple fruit, peaches, and a crisp finish.

Mild butterscotch green apple nose, with cilantro and something milky. The mouth is nicely acidic, and very smooth.

Overall a relaxed mellow mineral body with great balance of spice and sweetness. An exercise in balance and restraint. Mentioned in a virtual tasting with the winemaker: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/6532893

Peachy mineral nose with vanilla notes. Peaches, citrus and bay leaf flavors. Mineral core. Lots of oak noticeable on the finish.

This is a very fruity wine. Lots of peaches and plums on the nose, lingering acidity. Perfectly paired with seafood, al fresca.

This is a delicious, fruity and crisp Napa chard...a hint of minerality. A great food wine!

Too crisp and bright for my taste. I like the oaky vanilla flavored Chardonnays.

Winemaker Notes - The 2008 Jordan Chardonnay is marked by understated elegance. Bright, straw-green colored hue. The clean freshness of the nose opens up with vivid fruit aromas of green apples, pears and peach, and a touch of quince and kiwi. On the palate, similar notes are evident: bright fruits braced by crisp acidity and a lingering minerality. The finish brings the fruit, balance and finesse of this wine full circle.

The bouquet offers delicate aromas of Fuji apple, citrus, nutmeg, honey, and lightly toasted oak. The wine delivers lively and complex flavors of Asian pear, key lime, and Marcona almond. These refined notes offer a seamless expression of rich, bold flavors with a long, elegant finish. This wine will be delicious upon release and will continue to gain honeyed richness with an additional 3 to 5 years of aging. Serve between 55 and 60 degrees to ensure the full flavor development.
