Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A seamless wine, our 2007 vintage exudes beautiful, dense blackberry aromas that echo through the mid-palate. The mouthfeel is silky-smooth with soft, round tannins accented by a vanilla quality from the French oak. Enjoyable now or worthy of cellaring through 2020.

Jordan Vineyards almost single-handedly put Alexander Valley on the map. Since the release their first wine, the 1976 Cabernet Sauvignon, they’ve been a standard bearer for what this warm-climate corner of Sonoma County can produce. And year after year Jordan’s Cabernets continue to deliver bold, ripe flavors, beautifully polished with ideal balance for aging. The 2007 is a beautiful example of the Jordan style; ripe but supple and balanced with a silky mouthfeel and blackberry, black cherry flavors that linger on the finish. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec aged 12 months of 70% French and 30% American oak barrels. A classic!

Elegant, with medium body, ripe cherry, currant, herb and spice flavors, and finishing with polished tannins. Drink now through 2005.

Deep red. Red- and blackcurrant, cherry and menthol on the nose, with subtle vanilla, cola and tobacco notes adding complexity. Tightly wound red berry and bitter cherry flavors are framed by dusty tannins, picking up anise and herb notes on the back end. Understated and brisk, with good finishing clarity and mineral cut.

Bright ruby purple cast. Medium-bodied. full acidity. Moderately extracted. Mildly oaked. Mildly tannic. Red fruits, minerals, brown spices. Pleasantly aromatic, with a core of ripe fruit flavors. Lighter in style, with a sense of crispness through the finish. Well balanced.

Tight, firmly tannic and well focused, with complex cherry, currant, menthol and cedar flavors. Turns dry and tannin on the finish, but itrsquo;s not out of line for its age. Needs cellaring; best from 2000 through 2008.

The bouquet displays characteristics of dense blackberry aromas that mirror to the mid-palate. The Jordan Cabernet mouth feel is silky-smooth with soft, round tannins highlighted by delicate nuances of vanilla stemming from the French oak aging.
