Editorial Reviews

Smoky, green pepper, really very cab driven with a core of leafy blackberry fruit that is very fresh if noticeably vegetal, and appealing with an underlay of grilled meats coming from the Syrah. Smells like A Californian blend fro m the late 70’s or early 80’s.

Smooth and fairly rich on entry with solid, integrated acidity, plenty of soft tannins, and spicy, minty vanilla tinged dark fruit notes that pick up a bit of earthiness on the back end and into the finish.
A fresh, restrained and fairly complex wine that combines the best attribute of cool and warm climate wines.

Smells like roasted and stuffed bell peppers like my mom used to make them, with just a hint of red fruit showing through. Flavors are clean, refreshing, bright red raspberry and a bit of oak, tobacco and some dark chocolate.

Dirty mineraly nose. Well balanced soft mouthfeel with dark fruits and more dirt on the palate, but in the good way. Gently departing finish. Very peculiar, but enjoyable.

Full disclosure: I love this style of wine. Very grassy and dirty, like if you took a rake to your flower garden and drank what came out. It's also a little bit smokey and has strong-but-gentle tannins to center your palate.
