Jordan Chardonnay 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

Refined aromas of green apple, pear and lemon peel with a flinty note reminiscent of Chablis. Its elegant palate echoes the bouquet with clean, bright flavors of stone fruit and citrus, backed by firm acidity where oak is an afterthought. A touch of creaminess on the mid-palate is followed by lovely mineral notes that carry through an extraordinarily long finish. It would be hard to pick out this bottle as Californian in a lineup of White Burgundies. Enjoy now or cellar through 2022.

Rich buttery aromas of green apple, peach, dried apricot, melon and vanilla. Smooth and full bodied on the palate, refreshing with an excellent heft of vanilla bean, toasted oak and fruit flavors of green apple, pear and melon, a touch of lemon as well with a finish of smoky oak. Creamy, zesty, generous and full flavored. 91 pts.

Medium intensity aromas of buttery vanilla, green apple, fresh almonds, vanilla pudding and just a hint of apricot and golden berries. Smooth yet refreshing, the palate offers fresh pineapple, lemon zest, green apples and a creamy texture with well integrated toasty oak. The long finish is similarly complex delivering a few extra seconds of enjoyment. Lovely.

Very low key on the nose with complex aromas of buttery nuts, herbs, pineapple tops, older wood, and creamy apple fruit topped with nice toast and creme brulee aromas. Decidedly acid-driven on entry, this delivers wonderfully clear flavors of citrus fruit and tart apples over a base of older wood accented with a hint of toast and vanilla in the mouth. Just wonderfully balanced with intense flavors but a light, elegant mouthfeel capped off by a long, complex and subtle finish. This is lovely; complex yet restrained with amazing acidity for a California Chardonnay. 92pts Acidity: Medium High Perceived Sweetness: Low Oak: Medium Low Spicy Flavors: Low Savory Flavors: Medium Low Fruity Flavors: Medium High Intensity of Flavor: Medium High Weight in Mouth: Medium Low

Rather low on the nose, with lemon peel and soil base notes supporting a gentle top note of vanilla cream and apricot. This has lovely bright acids and soft creaminess working against each other to keep things tight in the mouth. The oak is noticeable but clean, adding lightly toasty spice notes to the core of apple fruit. The finish shows a bit more oak early on, but the citrus character of the wine powers through on the long finale with a subtle hint of refreshing minerality. 91pts

Buttery vanilla notes and long sexy finish. On the nose I didn't find anything special but the combined finish of the oak and the smokiness is awesome. Jordan smashing out of the park again.

Mild butterscotch green apple nose, with cilantro and something milky. The mouth is nicely acidic, and very smooth.
