The 1997 vintage was an outstanding one producing fully ripe, deeply colored and concentrated wines. This cabernet shows off full dark ruby color and aromas of ripe berry, black current and cassis coming from fully ripe fruit. Hints of black olive add to the sweet french oak accents. In the mouth, the fruit is almost explosive in its intensity and purity. This is a big, elegantly styled wine with richness and balance at the same time. Can be enjoyed upon release or held for further aging.

- Good medium ruby. Briary blackberry, black cherry, mocha, cinnamon, mace and a hint of menthol on the nose. Thick, rich and layered, with superripe black fruit and dark chocolate flavors and a primary, grapey aspect. Chewy and dense yet rather approachable for this wine. Finishes with substantial but ripe tannins.
