Jolivet Pouilly Fume 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Pascal Jolivet is one of the most dynamic and forward thinking producers in the Loire Valley. He started making his Grand Vins du Val de Loire in 1982, later establishing his own Maison Pascal Jolivet in 1987. Specialising in the wines of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, Pascal has very quickly gained a formidable reputation and loyal customers amongst leading Michelin starred restaurants in France and around the world. The vineyards of Pouilly are situated 200 km to the South of Paris on the right hand side (east bank) of the Loire. The Pascal Jolivet Domaine represents 8 hectares of the Pouilly fumé appellation in the villages of Tracy and Les Loges. The close proximity of the river Loire gives a particular micro-climate. A wine with dazzling character, high minerality, rich, elegant and full of finesse. Seafood, crustacea, fish and goats' cheese will match wonderfully with this classic Sauvignon wine.
