Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Vintage: 2004 06/30/2008

Tyler Heck winemaker for John Tyler Wines doesn't release his Pinot Noir until he feels it's ready, after over 3 and a half years conditioning in the bottle after aging in new French oak. It delivers a voluptuous front, mid-mouth and back-end flavor that got my mind turning with ways to describe it. In a year that has seen the release of Grand Cru Burgundies that fetch prices around $500, Pinot lovers have no choice but to seek out better values. At $42 a bottle, John Tyler is a smart choice over the collector's items from France. If this went up blind against the 2005 Burgundies in a modern day Judgment of Paris, my money is on fourth-generation winemaker Tyler Heck.

Vintage: 2004 07/24/2009

At all times and in every aspect the winemaking process was under the direction of Tyler Heck. All the decisions and work pertaining to the productions of this vintage were made by him. Barreled down in 100% new French oak cooperage: 100% French oak, a mix of Francois Freres, Berthomieu, Darguad & Jaegle, and Taransaud. alcohol: 14.5% by volume
