This wine has a seamless integration of silky tannins, loads of generous fruit with a balanced floral note in the bouquet. I am behind the Hollywood curve of loving Pinot Noir. I don't dislike it, but I haven't quite caught the "Pinot-fever" that was brought about by the film "Sideways." With this offering from John Tyler, I can start to see what all the hype is about. The nose is a complex mix of strawberries, spice, and a whiff of gasoline. The pomegranate and strawberry flavors explode onto the palette, with a little hint of earthiness bringing the flavors into balance.
