John Anthony Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

92ptsJL "Pure, rich, ripe currant and black cherry fruit shines, with a fleshy texture and hints of spice and cedar. The tannins are moderate, giving this a long, complex, lingering finish. Drinks well now. Drink now through 2012." John Anthony Truchard has been gaining tremendous recognition and receiving critical acclaim for his outstanding, limited production wines. Featured last year in a Wine Spectator article as one of the up and coming wineries to keep an eye on, John Anthony wines have already garnished high scores from numerous wine publications. His efforts have created wines of exceptional quality and character - hand-crafted, artisan style wines. The 2004 John Anthony Cabernet is a stunning follow up to the impressive 2003 debut vintage. Don't miss this new vintage because it's even bolder and more age-worthy so get it now before supply disappears and/or the price goes up. winemaker, Alison Doran This is a California Wine.

The idea was simple – pick ideal climate and locations for the fruit, choose the best vine stock available, care and tend to each vines needs, work with the best winemaker you can find, and share the end result with those who will most appreciate it. Fortunately his wife Michele shared his passion and together in 2003 they crushed what would become their first vintage of Cabernet and Syrah. The fruit that goes into the wines are sourced only from vineyards leased or managed by John Anthony Truchard. This level of viticultural control is the foundation for the wines produced. Read less
