External Reviews for Johannishof Riesling Kabinett Rheingau Johannisberg V
Rich, creamy and concentrated. Lemon custard, apple and, above all, mineral flavors are streaked through this firm, intense white. Lingers nicely on the finish. Drink now through 2015.
Everything comes together here - the site, the grape, the grower - to create something special. Alluring aromas and flavors of pear, peach and a heady blossom essence mark this Riesling. It's balanced, seamless and very, very long on the finish. Drink now through 2018.
A happy marriage of deep, luscious peach fruit, slate-tinged minerality and a balanced injection of sharp acidity. This is the kind of Riesling that Rheingau lovers crave!
This is firm and taut, with flavors of litchi, pink grapefruit and fresh pear. The acidity elongates the flavors on the finish, complemented by a stony minerality.
This has the power and weight of the Rheingau, but also the delicate floral nuances of the Mosel. Scents of flower-shop greens, crushed-stone and lime easily glide into flavors of melon and citrus, underscored by a strong mineral component. Long, intense and refreshing on the finish.
There's an opulence here, but understated, as the high-toned floral, peach and mineral notes unfold against a vivid acidity. Incisive, yet not laserlike, this will develop nicely. Drink now through 2015.
