Winemaker's Notes:

The Wachau region in Austria has its own unique wine classification system based on alcohol and sugar level. This Riesling is classed as Federspiel, where alcohol levels must be between 11.5 and 12.5 %. Similar in style to Kabinett white wines,dry and crisp. The vines are grown on south west facing mountain terraces, the wine was naturally fined. 2008 was another good vintage, producing more refined, fruit driven wines with moderate sugar and acidity. Winter was quite mild, there was good rainfall throughout and a high amount of sunshine hours during summer. Vintage: 2008 Grapes: 100% Riesling Notes: Pure and natural, wet stone with apricot, peach and citrus spice character. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans Serve: Delicious with poached salmon or as an aperitif ABV: 12%
