Editorial Reviews for Johann Donabaum Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Spitzer Point
A nice deep vegetal note on the nose with rich, ripe fruits and an almost sweet edge, that develops a nice gravelly, lightly smoky note This combines a nice array of mineral and ripe fruit notes in a slightly rich style that feels a bit compressed today. This should benefit from some time in the cellar and looks like this would be excellent at the dinner table. 89pts
User Reviews for Johann Donabaum Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Spitzer Point
Add your reviewVery aromatic with notes of almond, lime and green apple. Good acidity, but in balance with the smoothness, there's a bit of cream and oak to finish and a bit of citrus zest. Nice wine.
Started off small, and started to grow on me, probably because it warmed up. Very floral, with a bit of acidity that softens up and stays on the palate. Notes of green apple, coconut, and pineapple.
A bit nutty on the nose. Medium acidity with a nice complex buttery vibe. The finish is very understated and elegant.
