Sweet -- yet not cloyingly. Just the right amount of mouth tingle. This was enjoyed along with some strongly flavored hors-doevres (roquefert cheese, tapenade, etc.) and was exactly the right match to cut the richness and act as lovely pallete cleanser in between various tastes. [91]

A delicious white, full of apple pie, spice and peach aromas and flavors accented by lime and mineral, all on a racy structure. Shows excellent focus and intensity, a succulent texture and a long finish. Best from 2000 through 2008.

Delicate scents of fresh apple, apple jelly, honey and vanilla. Again, this is feather-light in the mouth, yet has wonderful reach and penetration of baked apple, nut oil, marzipan, slate and vanilla flavors. Really finely balanced, this shows a lot less overt sweetness than the typical young Prum Spatlese.
