Editorial Reviews for Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Auslese
There is a bit of sulfur here but it can't obscure the apricoty fruit with subtle green plum edges. There are light spice and slate tones that add some complexity here. On entry this is downright succulent with a voluptuous feel that leads to a liquid mineral/quartz midpalate. The backend is very lean and crisp leading to a fine, long, focused mineral driven finish. This closes in the glass and deserves some cellar time to sort itself out. Drink 2011-2020 88pts

Brilliant minerality on the nose, almost a bit of sea air. Crisp acidity perfectly balanced with the residual sugar. Silky smooth on the palette with that minerality, floral notes, and a touch of apricot. Light and refreshing.

The J.J. Prüm wines have a reputation for being very long-lived, and Dr. Prüm suggests that even his Kabinett wines be cellared for five years. This is no exception. Rich petrol and resounding mineral on the nose give way to beautiful apple and pear balanced by amazing acidity. Never think twice about picking a Prüm!
The floral, peach and chive aromas and flavors need some coaxing to emerge in this lacy, delicate Riesling. Balanced and long, but needs air if you are going to enjoy this now. Best from 2010 through 2024.
A very subtle wine with a lot of finesse, length and elegance. Already showing its potential, it needs moretime to open and show its greatness. Great ageing potential, will be enjoyable for many decades
Very rich, but at the same time well-structured and not at all fat' Auslese. Very good interplay betweenfloral flavors, mineral acidity and citrus aromas. This Auslese is still less developed compared to theSpatlese, will improve remarkably when opening further in the course of the next years. Great ageingpotential.
This proprietary Kabinett combines fruit from Bernkasatel and Graach. A pungent cassis leaf note in the nose leads to bright, elegant and easy-to-appreciate citrus, apple and cassis flavors in the mouth.
