Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben Riesling Spätlese Erdener Treppchen 2001

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Pretty perfumy nose apon opening that needed time to offer up incipient notes of petrol and bees wax. This remains pretty sweet yet with sufficient acidity to support it. Clean and fresh if a touch short still. The finish offers glimpses of honey tinged grapefruit that add to the chunky mineral notes on the midpalate. I guess this could still use a bit of rest to sort itself out. 2020-2017
