Tasting Notes: Just a few miles from where the Margaret River flows into the Indian Ocean is a small limestone cliff known as Joey's Nose. A secluded spot that looks out across pristine white sand to the ocean, it offers one of the best views in the Margaret River region. 2001 was an outstanding vintage in Margaret River. It will go down in history as one of Margaret River's best ever. The season was long and warm which produced reds of deep colour with great fruit flavours. The Joeys Nose 2001 Cabernet Shiraz was produced from some of the best fruit in the region. This wine is an increasingly read more...popular blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35 % Shiraz. The wine exhibits spiced fruit characters complemented by tannins that give the wine softness in the mouth and a smooth finish. With a touch of residual sweetness this wine is enjoyable with a meal or on its own
