The 2006 Zinfandel is a welcome edition to a long line of can't-miss wines from famed California winemaker Joel Gott. Superb with steaks, pork roast and other savory meat dishes, yet with so much fruit I can easily imagine serving it with pizza and wings.

Copious, rich blackberry fruit, intense black cherry and sweet tannins serve as the red carpet for the peppery finish of this huge California red. Medium-bodied and juicy, it is a true-to-the-varietal fruit bomb. Next time you feel like indulging your palate, reach for this great buy.
Red-ruby. Red berries and Christmas spices on the nose. Supple, rich and accessible; sappy red fruit flavors nicely framed by sweet oak. Finishes with lush tannins and good length. This is balanced for enjoying right now.
