Clean and juicy but somewhat subdued for a Zin, both on the nose and on the tongue, but just enough acid to keep it from being flabby. Like a good mix of red and darker fruits in a somewhat aromatic light syrup. Pleasant but subtle medium finish, again more subtle aromatic than peppery. Refreshing and drinkable but not memorable.

For this intense wine, Gott sources the fruit from some of the best growing areas for Zin — Lodi, Amador and Napa Valley. Deep ruby color, aromas of vanilla, anise, wild strawberries and cherries swirl from the glass along with a hint of milk chocolate. On the palate, tart red raspberry joins the flavor profile and lifts the wine to a mouthwatering, refreshing level. Impressive and irresistible!
A great Zinfandel for the price. It’s dry and elegant, with a mouthfeel somewhere between Pinot Noir and Merlot. Really balanced, with soft tannins and acids framing oak-tinged berry and spice flavors. With 30,000 cases produced, it should be easy to find.
