Joel Gott Zinfandel Amador County Dillian Ranch 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

The Dillian Ranch, Amador County once again produced fruit with richness, extract and elegance. The 2005 Zinfandel exhibits rich black cherry, roasted plum, raspberry and spice aromas. Up front it is full-bodied with sweet tannins on the palette, juicy ripe fruit, with mocha and spicy flavors. We love the balance on this wine and the mouth feel is complete with a long and elegant finish that lingers only long enough to want more! Fruit: 100% Zinfandel, old vine head trained Appellation: Amador Couonty, Tom Dillian Ranch Alcohol: 14.9% Case Production: 1636 Cases

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

A classic Amador Zin with spice, oak and great dark fruit flavors. Fantastic with a grilled steak.
