Joel Gott Riesling Columbia Valley 2010

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Crushed lime leaf, quince and chalk come together on the nose with a faint nutty sweetness. Round and large on entry, this tapers nicely on the mid-palate showing a subtle elegance of texture and fine transparency to the earthy, citrus pith flavors. A bit floral on the palate and even more so on the finish, this is easy drinking if not obvious, though it is a touch simple. 86pts

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
