Joachim Ress Rheingau Riesling 2008

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

Straw color with a gold tint; attractive and refreshing, with a variety of fruits and a crisp acidity. The slight sweetness and harmony of citrus and honey allow it to work well with Asian cuisine and spicy foods, or with a simple grilled chicken salad and fresh baked bread.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

This wine screams "Drink me!" It is nice and smooth, light and citrusy with a little bit of gooseberry sweetness. The flavor profile of this wine is light bodied and shows slightly elevated acidity and sweetness. Perfect for sipping alone or serving with fresh shucked clams or oysters.
