RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Tasted the 2010. Very sweet and crisp.
Baked apple with a hint of peach and apricot on the nose. Well balanced with decent acidity. Had it with a Ceasar salad and it actually paired pretty well. I ordered another bottle for the wine cellar.

Aromatic, offering smoke, slate, peach and floral aromas. It picks up a lime accent on the palate. Lighter than air, with a silky texture and long, tangy aftertaste. There's a nice combination of intensity and delicacy. Drink now through 2030.
Pale golden yellow. Subdued bouquet of passion fruit, nut oil and acacia blossom. The lusciously sweet tropical fruit flavors are highlighted by a refreshing gingery acidity that keeps the palate light in spite of the wine's density. Although elegant and aristocratic, this auslese is also quite full-bodied, finishing astoundingly long, on a spicy botrytis note.
This has a matchstick aroma from reduction, while the palate expresses peach, lime and mineral flavors. It has fine density and a keen-edged structure that keeps it detailed and crunchy. Long, mouthwatering finish. Best from 2009 through 2030.
The Prum 2009 Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Auslese displays an herbal liqueur-like aromatic and palate concentration along with candied expressions of cherry and lime, as well as vanilla, caramel and white raisin. The overall impression then, is quite confectionary, but there is no denying this wine's effusive personality, textural richness, or sheer length... not to mention that it will probably live for 30 or more years, and after the first 15, the sweetness should start to back off significantly. Meantime, I'd personally rather drink the corresponding Spatlese.
Prum is unquestionably the most renowned producer in Germany, and often his wines are candidates for best of the vintage. For starters, there is the 1990 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese, with its bouquet of vanilla, apples and minerals. In the mouth there is great fruit, beautifully etched flavors, and a long, crisp, highly extracted finish. Drink this dry Spätlese over the next 7-10 years.
Filled to the brim with fresh fruit. Truly exciting, bubbling with fresh peach and honeysuckle aromas. Medium-bodied and sweet, overflowing with apple and peach flavors and a long, fresh finish. Try from 1994.
Tasted blind in the same flight as Prüm's Bernkasteler Badstube auslese, this wine is flashier, more of an attention-grabber, with amazing purity and intensity of fruit backed by great length. The fruit flavors of green apple, pineapple and lime are underscored by slate-driven minerality, and the wine, although plump and amply endowed, is well balanced, with superb posture provided by sinewy acids. Surprisingly approachable now, but could last as long as 50 years.
