Merlot 60% Syrah 40% 7 months French oak(new) Dark as night almost blackish read like blood. Rich nose of anise, light funk, minerals and dark fruits. High acidty with firm fine tannins. The palate shows, nuts, blueberries, blackberries, minerals, and is very intense overall. Big wine with a possible long future ahead of it. 4/5 [NR]

Merlot 50% Tempranillo 35% Syrah 15% - 65% French oak, 35% American Oak for 7months Deep and dark as night. The nose is rich with w/pepper, minerals, dry nuts, and light tabbaco all followed by a mild earthiness. Rich in the mouth with fresh acidity and sweet firm tannins. Flavors of cherry, cranberry, deep dark cherry perserves, and mint. Interesting wine. 4/5 [NR]

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine ReviewThe attractive, medium dark ruby/purple-colored 2010 exhibits an excellent texture, abundant fruit and peppery garrigue, lavender and kirsch notes. Medium to full-bodied and ripe, it seems to grow in stature and complexity as it sits in the glass. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. -Robert ParkerWine NotesVineyards: Organic vineyards in Mentrida with varying exposures. Age of Vines: 10-30 years. Harvest: Hand picked in small cases. Vinification: Whole clusters with the stem removed placed in stainless steel containers, cold pre-fermentation maceration (2-5 days), gentle extraction (pigeage a pied) , maceration between 15 and 20 days. Natural malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aging: 10 months in French oak barrels
