Jim Barry the Lodge Hill Shiraz Clare Valley 2013

Member Review by rckr1951:

Bold but smooth with big blackberry fruit, spice, earth, chocolate on the nose and following well to the palate. This joined by sneaky perimeter flash of caramel, chewy tannins and a pop of acidity frame and drive a lengthy aftertaste. Drink or hold - 91 points - Paul

A juicy, fleshy palate is supported by ripe cherry and blackberry fruit. This is delicately built with fine, lingering tannins - wrapped up in integrated, well seasoned oak. A wine that is ready for immediate enjoyment with a view to cellaring for 7 to 10 years from vintage - Winery
