Jigsaw Pinot Noir Oregon 2006
External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:
This would be easy to mistake for Grenache - it's ruby-colored, cranberry-flavored, with hints of strawberry and licorice. Clean, crisp and noticeably acidic, it would be most enjoyable with a richly sauced breast of duck.

Light and fragrant, with a pretty cloud of raspberry and lingonberry fruit hovering over fine tannins and a hint of cream. Silky finish. Drink now through 2013.

It's no puzzle that this ripe, juicy wine is delicious. Pair it with grilled fish with herbs, paella, wild mushroom loaf or bacon-cheddar burgers. You can put the pieces together!

Fresh picked raspberries, cherries and strawberries ooze from this wine, followed by wet earth, mushrooms and smoke. An unbelievably dynamic pinot, perfectly balanced for food at a screaming deal price. The flavors should be intense and rich with a juicy mouth feel and supple texture. But balance is key. There must be harmony of ripe fruit, refreshing acidity and supportive tannins..."
