93 Points Robert Parker:`The 2005 is the real deal. Super-ripe but with impressive underlying acidity and structure the wine has notes of charcoal roasted herbs tapenade black currant licorice and camphor. It is deep full-bodied rich with good acidity and sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. This source for Cabernet Sauvignon was made famous by well-known wine consultant and winemaker David Ramey when he was sourcing fruit from this site. They now estate-bottle their own wines and this is a cuvee of around 400 cases made from 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc.` 93 Points Wine Spectator: `Tighly wound but rich and concentrated with a focused mix of dried currant wild berry herb spice and cedar. The flavors fan out and gain depth ending with a nice firm tannic finish. Best from 2009 through 2015.`

Winemaker's Notes:

If ever there was a case for the greatness of a wine beginning in the vineyard, it is Jericho Canyon. Highly regarded as a source for fruit by the likes of Rudd Estate and David Ramey, who bottled Single Vineyard Cabs from Jericho Canyon, the owners now retain their best blocks for their own label. Napa doesn't get better! 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot and aged for 20 months in French oak, 70% new. This wine reflects the power and intensity of its hillside origins. Wild berry and currants are layered with hints of truffle, anise, dried herbs, licorice, and tapénade. With its fleshy rich core and ripe tannins, this Cabernet is a beauty
