Unlike any other Malbec I've ever had in that it has more fresh fruit flavors and less of the earthy, black licorice notes of Mendoza wines. And the acidity is also higher than most Malbecs. I think Jelu may be more versatile than other Malbecs because of those two points. A real treat.

My first Malbec. Introduced to the wine at the Waldorf Astoria at dinner and ordered a case the next day. Full bodied with plenty of deep fruit flavor and a peppery finish.

We just can’t resist this Malbec: It’s a perfect example of how well this lovely red grape can do in Argentina. Made on a Practicing Organic estate in the Mendoza region, this full-bodied wine shows dark berry fruit and a spicy edge on the finish.

Cold maceration followed by warm fermentation temperatures and pro-longed skin contact, with judicious use of micro-oxygenation. Aged in French and American oak, for 9 months.
