- Classic RSV nose of oriental spice and subtle tea, leather and hoisin notes mix beautifully with black, sappy pinot fruit aromas but the flavors are somewhat reserved at this early juncture and the '95 vintage shows up on the finish as this is moderately astringent at the moment. I would give this a few years to round out as there is plenty of concentration here.

- Very good dark ruby-red. Tangy, spicy aromas of raspberry, orange zest and caramel. Juicy and very intensely flavored; very young but already offers terrific inner-mouth perfume. Tannins are ripe and well-buffered.
