Jean-Paul Dubost Beaujolais Villages 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

Jean Paul Dubost is a fourth-generation vigneron at Domaine Dubost, having taken over the family estate in 1993 after his father's death. Jean Paul farms each organically, vinifying the wines traditionally to produce rich, concentrated expressions of Gamay.Beaujolais is enjoying something of a renaissance. Only 10 years ago the French government was paying wineries to convert their juice into ethanol in order to avoid a new 'wine lake' north of Lyon. Today, we see a crop of young winemakers thirsty to return to their roots and make wines in a modern, fruit-centric, bistro-ready style. This is such a wine.
