Jean-Marc Brocard Domaine Ste. Claire Chablis 2017

External Review:

Brocard Chablis Sainte Claire is really spot on in the 2011 vintage. There is a depth to the fruit character and minerality that is quite impressive at this price point.

Great cheese-pairing wine. Crisp with apple notes.

Pale, bright yellow. Ripe but pure and classic aromas of lime and steely minerality. Intensely fla vored, clean and tactile; quite dry but pliant. Classic, rather backward Chablis with a bright citrus skin finish. The Brocards now prefer to make a single classic cuvee of Chablis, blending their best fruit from Les Malantes and Les Pargues (previously these two holdings were often bottled separately, but both sold as Chablis villages

Full yellow-gold. Very ripe but shy nose suggests creamy stone fruits. Fat and sweet, but showing more depth and restraint than the Domaine de la Boissonneuse village bottling. In the thicker style of 2009, but finishes with good length and little obvious warmth.
