Jean-Jacques Vincent Pouilly-Fuisse Marie-Antoinette 2015

Member Review by vin0vin0:

Very nice Pouilly-Fuisse chardonnay with good acidity, lemon peel, green apple, a touch of oak and a bit of earthiness on the nose and back of the mouth. Opens up nicely with a bit of warmth and air.

Honey, lemon and sugar aromas - just a little bit of a plastic aroma. Tart and minerally with green apple and lemon.

I found this one too perfumey. The flavors didn't mesh. At times sweet, at times too acidic, always with that heavy, floral touch, like cheap perfume. Off with its head!

drink between 2012-20169/23/2012 - UPFROMTHECELLAR WROTE: 88 Points Nice medium/light bodied, balanced, Pouilly-Fuisse that held its own with several bottles around the same $15-$17 price point. Nothing super special when all is said and done, its still a great wine to bring to a party where it might be considered tres chic. And since its pretty bland going down, it will definitely not offend anyone drinking it. Many will in fact like it. I did for what it was. Do you find this review helpful? Creamy texture with a hint of oak and moderate acidity. Straw in color and needs to be paired with food. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comment Options 6/28/2012 - IAN S WROTE: Somewhat pale but bright straw colour. Attractive yet subtle nose of lemon, grapefruit, honey and oatmeal/cream, with swirling bringing out more vibrancy. Nicely balanced on the palate, though the acidity is firm enough to suggest it's better with food. The profile at this stage though is quite straightforward with little complexity. The finish however is of decent length, so give it a couple of years and see what emerges. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comment Options 4/8/2012 - FULLPINT WROTE: 91 Points From the famed JJ Vincent who produces Chateau Fuisse, this is an introduction to Pouilly Fuisse and definitely delivers...apple-citrus flavours, subtle oak offering a slight creamy backbone, minerality, and crisp acidity. Beautiful Chardonnay that would be a challenge to find in the new world at this price point, seafoods and fish all day long!

JJ Vincent Pouilly-Fuissé Cuvée Marie Antoinette is a tribute to Jean Jacques Vincent?s mother, Marie Antoinette Vincent. The wine is sourced from several parcels including young vines from the Chateau Fuissé vineyards of Le Clos, Les Brulés and Les Combettes as well as several non-domaine yet family owned parcels throughout the appellation. Cuvée Marie Antoinette is created with a fresh, youthful profile in mind. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tank with only about 25% of the total blend seeing any time in oak. The resulting wine is pleasing, refreshing and crisp on the palate, with youthful layers of acidity, apple, peach and vanilla. - Winery

Elegant Chardonnay with notes of oak and vanilla balancing a ripe grapes and mild spice on the palate.

Rich, structured and full-bodied, this is an open take on Pouilly Fuissé. It’s shows ripe white fruits like pear and quince, along with fine acidity and a fresh citrus streak. Age for a year or drink now.

Medium-weight and linear, exuding mineral and spice flavors, with a hint of lemon underneath, this bright white finishes long and spicy. Drink now through 2017.

An expressive nose that is primarily comprised of floral and orchard fruit aromas gives way to notably more complex and finer medium-bodied flavors that offer a touch of minerality on the relatively dry and citrus-infused finish. This is very forward and will drink well almost immediately. - Allen Meadows Burghound 87-89 Points ** Only 8 in Stock **
